Yoga for New Students!

 I am Excited to Welcome You!

It is your first time going to a yoga class, and you fear you'll feel out of place. And sure, walking into a yoga class for the first time can feel intimidating, especially if you are not sure what to expect. One way to help calm your pre-class worries is to learn a thing or two about yoga etiquette, and the general ins and outs of a typical studio ahead of time! Glance through these tips, and then enjoy the full yoga experience! You'll be set to go like you have been doing yoga for years!

  • Dress in layers! Your temperature may change during the course of your practice. You may need socks for final relaxation, or even a blanket. 

  • Wear something that moves when you do, while keeping you covered where you want to be covered. 

  • ARRIVE ON TIME so we can start on time!

  • Be sure Cell Phones and other noise-making devices are turned OFF. 

  • Please come to class clean and free of scents! We will be breathing deeply.

  • If you must leave early, advise the instructor upon arrival and do NOT leave during meditation. 

  • Take care of yourself in each pose! ASK QUESTIONS!

  • What are the benefits of yoga you might ask?

    • Calms the mind by restoring mental agility, helps detoxify the body, reduces stress and mental fatigue, increases metabolism, increases overall energy, increases flexibility and physical comfort.​
